Second posting of our long weekend in Cornwall and as you can see it's all about the seaside. The last day we drove to Polzeath, parked the car and walked to Rock and then took the ferry over to Padstow. Now for many of you these places will mean nothing but make a note of this area if you ever plan on going to Cornwall. It was absolutely beautiful - Sandcastles, beach, bright blue water and collecting shells - Perfect summer day ...

Cornish gettaway ...
As some of you may have noticed, I have been slightly missing in action. This last week and a half has been busy, and I have been living out of a suitcase only stopping by home to re-pack. I spent 4 days in Norway, came back to London to re-pack, then went 4 days to Copenhagen and then back to London (again) for a day of work and then off to Cornwall for 3 days of camping by the seaside. Adventures and riots ...

Today reality has hit, and my flatmate Andrea and I are glued to BBC News following the Riots in London. Basically we are surrounded by the riots, luckily they have not yet come to Denmark Hill ... Surreal ...

Sunday in London ...
Sunday we went to the Norwegian Church in London for a service to pay our respects. It is weird being back from holiday still feeling numb from the happenings in Norway, and I must admit it was good to be in a room filled with Norwegians whom I know feel the same distress as me. After the service we went to the Roof Garden in South Bank, which I highly recommend to anyone in the London area. They have laid out grass and it is a perfect place to enjoy a beer or a glass of Pims. There was a Vintage Fair on which meant that there was tons of people, food stalls and a massive buzz over the area. A perfect way to end a weekend ...
