Contrasts ...

Last week I was invited to cover my first event as a blogger, and I immediately knew that I wanted to wear this skirt. It has been eyeing me from inside my closet for some time, just waiting for an opportunity to be used. I love the splash of colours, the asymmetry of it and as I am slightly obsessed with contrasts I decided to match it with a leather vest and slicked back hair. Luckily it was quite warm in London on Thursday, so I didn't have to attempt to layer it up.

I know some of you are expecting pictures from the event on The Mixtape Journal. Unfortunately I decided this was not a brand I wanted to cover here as I did not feel it aligned with my own taste in fashion, and would not feel comfortable putting something on here that I could not a 100% vouch for.
